Talk Title: Development of Photoprodrug for Targeted Photoactivated Chemotherapy
Dr. Minyong Li is a professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shandong University. He received a BS in Pharmaceutics, followed by a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from China Pharmaceutical University (Nanjing, Jiangsu, China) with Prof. Lin Xia. He pursued postdoctoral training with Prof. Binghe Wang at the Department of Chemistry, Georgia State University. He was then an assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, Georgia State University. In 2009, he moved to Shandong University (Jinan, Shandong, China) as a professor. The Li laboratory focuses on the general areas of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology on visualization analysis and photoswitchable control of biological activity of bio-macromolecules and -micromolecules. Recent honors include Shandong Outstanding Young Scientist Award, CAPA-Servier Young Investigator Award in Medicinal Chemistry, IUPAC Young Chemist Award and CAIA Award. Dr. Li has been named a Taishan Scholar Distinguished Professor from Shandong Province and a Shandong University Distinguished Professor.
