Talk Title: Revealing mechanism underlying uncommon & complicated DMPK issues using 14C-radiolabeling technology

Prof. Xingxing Diao has been engaged in DMPK research for 16 years, especially in 14C-radiolabeled DMPK of new drugs.

Dr. Diao received his bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University from 2005 to 2009, his Ph.D.  at Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) from 2009 to 2014, and his postdoctoral research at NIH from 2014 to 2016. Since Jun. 2016, Dr. Diao conducted 14C-labeled DMPK of new drugs at XBL and Celgene, New Jersey, USA.

In Feb. 2019, Dr. Diao joined SIMM, CAS as tenure Professor, focusing on radiolabeled DMPK, new metabolic pathway and mechanism underlying adverse reactions. In addition, he also provided high-quality technical services. As of Apr. 2025, Dr. Diao’s team have completed 150 14C-labeled animal studies and 70 14C-labeled human mass balance studies, of which 21 new drugs have been approved for marketing.

In the past 10 years, he has published 70 scientific papers, including J Med Chem, J Pharm Anal, Clin Chem, Clin Pharmacol Ther, Drug Metab Dispos, Acta Pharmacol Sin, AAPS J, etc. Citations is 2100+ times, and H-index is 26.
